Tanya Adams was a German civilian who volunteered for service in the Allied forces. She has proved to be an extremely capable field operative, eventually becoming one of the Allies' most important assets, receiving orders directly from Gunther von Esling, the Allied commander.
During the Great World War, one of her first assignments was rescuing the kidnapped Albert Einstein from a heavily defended Soviet research facility. After an air insertion, Tanya and soldiers supporting her managed to infiltrate the facility and rescue the doctor. Following Soviet successes on the front, she was assigned to cripple Soviet movements by destroying key bridges, a task she performed flawlessly.
However, when she was gaining intelligence on Soviet operations behind enemy lines, she was captured by the NKVD forces and subsequently subject to torture by a KGB officer. Learning of this, a spy was dispatched to locate and free her. He was successful, breaking into the interrogation room seconds before the officer could shoot Tanya, but was mortally wounded by the interrogator. Tanya used his moment of confusion to her advantage, knocking him down and, with the pistol the dying spy threw her, shooting him several times point blank. She proceeded to shoot her way out and rendez-vous with an ex-filtration chopper after destroying four SAM sites.
When Greece fell, Tanya was the person responsible for safeguarding the evacuation of the Allied second-in-command, general Nikos Stavros. Tanya would later participate in two additional missions under the direct supervision of the Allied commander, one in which she infiltrated a Soviet nuclear nuclear missile silo control complex and helped deactivate nuclear missiles before they could reach European cities, and the other where she spearheaded the assault on Moscow.
Her life after the war has been classified.

Operation: Head Games
Feb. 27th, 2012 02:30 pmFortune favors the bold.
So far, it holds true. The War was bloody, trying and harsh, as wars happen to be about every time. City by city, country by country, they fought Yuri's forces. Australia, Egypt, Antarctica, they found and eliminated each Psychic Dominator.
A large explosion, mirrored a few miles away, just marked the destruction of the last two of the infernal machines, freeing the two front bases defending the last of Yuri's Fortresses.
Time for the last, big push.

Operation: Tomb Raided
Feb. 23rd, 2012 12:45 pmLocation: Egypt
Mission Objective: destroy Yuri's Bio Reactors and rescue civilians.
******************************
Tanya paused, looking up at the darkening cloudless sky. The wind had shifted since noon, and the dust storm that was sweeping the high deserts to the east was now blowing out over the hidden camp. The sun, magnified by the haze, was a huge orange ball sinking past the horizon, at which she could almost look directly. The desert sand lay over everything, covering the soldiers in desert camouflage suits, hiding the small shelters they had left behind.
A half mile ahead, one of the Wonders of Antiquity lay in growing darkness, marred by the structures set upon and around it: Yuri's forces had quickly turned the ancient structures into a military base, dedicated to the research of more of the horrors the mad genius behind the past (and future) war. The commando scanned the terrain, with her range-finder binoculars, frowning.
"They have Brutes walking the perimeter, even with the storm." The sight of the gray-skinned 'soldiers' did not fail to make Tanya shudder in revulsion.

Operation: Time Lapse
Feb. 8th, 2012 03:55 pmLocation: San Francisco, California
It's never over. never over the easy way, never over the hard way: Tanya's Earth seems fated to continuous warfare, greedy, cruel men rising armies to make war for dominance.
For power.
Learning that Yuri survived the destruction of his fortress was not that shocking. Learning that he had built his own time machine and was planning to win the war by changing the past, well... that was both unexpected and terrifying.
**************************************************
"Right." Tanya shoulders the door open, ignoring the startled looks from technicians and MP's at the sight of the commando leading the blonde woman to the front door. "The bastard is gone, and Einstein says his instruments are detecting fractures in the space-time continuum, whatever it means. We're literally running out of time."
"We have one of the Chronospheres here, and it looks like we can use it to go back in time after Yuri. The idea makes my head hurt, but... we have to risk it, or be wiped out. Totally." She pauses as a Sargent runs up to her, but gestures for the man to wait. "We need to divert power to the Chronosphere, to send back a strike force to alert... ourselves. But Yuri left troops behind to stop us. We're going across the bay to capture power lines and a couple power plants." Then she nods to the man.
"Ma'am, the troops are assembled and ready to go." He salutes and Tanya returns it.

Aftermath: What to Celebrate?
Dec. 19th, 2010 07:05 pmThe view was something rather impressive, Tanya mused: to the right, the glitter of the city, to the left, the darkness of the great outdoor. She imagined how it would be during the day, the green of fields and rolling forested hills stretching towards the mountains, while the city would be gray and drab.
Right then and there in the balcony, the faint sounds of the huge party dimmed by the glass doors behind, the Commando decided to spend a few days there in the wilderness: pack the minimum needed, find a quiet valley away from everything and enjoy the quiet.
...
Well, maybe a bit later in spring, when the wildlife would not be so hungry.
The rising sounds of music and chatter alerted Tanya that someone was coming into the balcony, and she turned to face the newcomer: Lieutenant Eva Lee, wearing a long, nearly form-fitting white dress. "Agent Tanya."
"Lieutenant Lee." Tanya smirked a bit, a good way to keep her mind from straying. "How are you?"
"I'm fine." The other woman obviously wanted to say something but did not knew how to start. "I need to ask you something."
Tanya gave a nod, but no other encouragement: months, maybe a couple years ago, she would be hoping for a nice romantic something, a confession of attraction, a proposal of a clandestine affair, something bright and thrilling and... well, unreal. Now, she knew better, and just waited.
Eva cleared her throat, looking down, and tried. "Well... what do you think think of the Commander?"
...unexpected. "It's my opinion that he's a good leader and a decent man."
Eva fidgeted a bit, then looked up. "You like him, don't you?" The tone was a bit accusatory.
Tanya smirked again, shaking head. "No. Not in the way you mean it, and not in any meaningful way, Lieutenant."
Eva narrowed eyes. "I saw the way you were looking at him. I was right beside him, you know?" Again, accusatory.
"No." Tanya shook head, and as Eva opened her mouth to protest again, the Commando closed the distance between the two and pulled the other woman into a a kiss.
No, not any kiss, but a kiss made of passion, lust, temptation and confession. Eva was too stunned to react for a moment, then gave a hint of resistance... then melted into it with a shuddering groan, cheeks flushing deep red.
A full minute later, Tanya lets go of her, maneuvering Eva to sit down lest her wobbly legs make her fall. And before the other woman recovers from the shock, she makes her way to the door, casually, leisurely. "I hope that cleared any doubts you had, Lieutenant. Enjoy your evening with the Commander."
No, she was not smirking a bit to herself as she crossed the room to the front door. There was nothing smirk-worthy about, right?

Operation: Red Revolution
Nov. 23rd, 2010 01:46 pmOn screen, the grainy image is of the deceased Premier of Russia, Alexander Romanov. "If... you... have... received this." The man pauses, gasping and clutching his head in obvious pain. "Then, I presume by now I'm finally... dead. I'm... losing... I don't know... how to... Oh mother Russia. I'm forgetting... words."
"Yuri, he is controlling my mind." With visible effort, Romanov regains his composure for the moment. "He has killed me. When I'm... gone now, the command is yours. Send this tape far and wide. Take my country back for the glory of Russia and the spirit of justice." The image fades to static.
"We received this by encoded transmission this morning." Lieutenant Eva Lee sighed lightly. "Along with a proposal from the Soviet High Commander."
Tanya narrowed eyes. "And what is it?"
"Cease-fire and an offer to strike against Yuri before he can consolidate his position with more Psychic Dominators. The Soviets propose an immediate pincer attack on Moscow, with whatever forces we can muster, while Yuri has only his Black Guard to defend himself."
The Special Agent opened her mouth to speak, but a male voice was faster. "How do we know it is not a trap, Lieutenant?"
"We can not know for sure, Commander." Eva looked over her console and some file folders. "But Intelligence is confident that it's not. The Soviet Commander is already moving in from the East with several Infantry and Armor divisions, guarding a few MCV's. If they can draw some of Yuri's forces away, we can deploy a few quick-strike forces on the outskirts of the city and attack the Kremlin before the Black Guard can react."
"Oh, she's not kidding, Commander." Tanya rose to her feet. "You're calling the shots, so make up your mind. If we don't move fast enough, we'll all become slaves to that slimeball Yuri."
"Very well." Nodded the Commander. "Tell Einstein to prepare the Chronosphere, Lieutenant Eva. Lieutenant Tanya, gather up a special forces group, we will need cover while setting up inside Moscow."
Tanya smirked a bit, having a good idea of whom to invite for the surprise party. "Can do."

Shifting Tides
Sep. 28th, 2010 01:00 pmGeneral Vladimir implicated in the case
[A series of blurry images from a security camera show a burly man in soviet officer uniform at the door of a room, firing at another man inside. The inside report says Romanov was in the hospital because of a bad cold that caused some respiratory problems. General Vladimir seemingly arrived to visit, rearranged the guard in the corridors and emptied the clip of his service pistol onto the torso and head of the Premier, making his escape in the confusion. At 10:15 PM, Moscow time, Yuri gave a statement declaring Vladimir an unperson, a renegade and traitor to be hunted and exterminated. The event caused an unilateral cease-fire to happen as Soviet Forces halted attacks and fell back to strong positions...]
Losing a Friend
Aug. 24th, 2010 02:03 pm"No rest for the wicked, Commander. We are all being shipped out to Germany." Ben Carville appeared on screen, packing up documents in a briefcase.
Tanya raised a brow at the comm-screen, connected to the three-way conference from St. Louis while The Commander listened in from Atlanta and General Carville transmitted from Washington. "What are the Reds up to, General?"
Carville paused to strap on his pistols, shaking head. "Romanov is no fool, Lieutenant. While we pushed that rabid dog Vladimir back, they are preparing an assault into the Black Forest."
"Einstein's lab." The woman frowned.
"Of course." Carville picked up his suitcase and moved to the door. "While the Commander and I organize a counter-offensive, I want you to hook up with the rangers and militia in the area and keep Vladimir the Sam Hill away from that lab. Einstein and his inventions are our ace in the hole." He paused with a hand on the doorknob.
"We can not afford to lose him or the facility. Our experts think..." Carville pulled the door open and stopped talking when he saw the man with maniac eyes standing in the hallway; the next second the suicide bomber's payload detonated, and the screen filled with static.

AU: Germany, 1926 (Trinity/AEon)
Mar. 17th, 2010 02:03 pmOctober 31, 1926: a small army outpost near the Austrian border radioed a distress call, speaking of giant ants attacking. The alert was cut short, and rescue teams found the camp razed... before being attacked by the giant insects themselves.
Over the past month the insects have been roaming far into Germany and Austria, terrorizing villages and devouring everything they catch.
Normal army and air force units have been so far able to only slow down the rapacious invasion: it is time to call in the big guns?

WWIII Diaries: Operation Last Chance
Jan. 24th, 2010 12:01 amFreeing Washington DC was just a small step: the Soviets had an even more powerful psychic device in store, an Amplifier with power enough to broadcast the mind-controlling signal not over a city, but over the entirety of North America.
General Carville ordered an amphibious assault on Chicago, where the Reds had placed the Amplifier: they have the city garrisoned, and the population under control.
Annabelle offered to help, we will be in the city before the invasion sabotaging Soviet operations to make the actual battle easier.
I hope things will go well...

Back to the heart of America. Something terrible happened, the Soviets managed to deploy a new piece of technology in Washington DC: the Psychic Beacon. What it does is send out signals
to the brain of American soldiers and citizens, telling them to join the Soviets, and since we have no protection against it, it is just a matter of time before anyone succumbs to mind control.
The Soviets "mind-controlled" the President and General Carville himself. An assault force was quickly assembled and managed to destroy the Beacon, freeing the populace and the military units in the area, but the cost in lives was staggering and the capital was left in ruins.
How can we fight a war in two fronts at home, against the Reds and against our own enslaved people?

Prelude to the War
Oct. 11th, 2009 08:00 pmLt. Eva Lee: Commander, good morning. We have instituted the president's emergency Lazarus Protocol. I'm Lieutenant Eva; The intel officer assigned to your command. Since you're the only commander left alive, I'm pretty lucky to have a job. It appears we have suffered a full scale Soviet invasion. Nearly all of our major cities are under siege and our forces are in complete disarray.
Lt. Eva Lee: [gets a signal on her headphones] Hold on commander, I'm getting a special transmission from General Carville at the Pentagon.
Gen. Ben Carville: I hope you're rested and ready commander. As of 0800 hours you're in control of every satellite, base, tank, airplane, enlisted man, woman and child, in the Eastern United States. You answer to the president, and you answer to me. Your ops officer with your lifelines will be the Lieutenant. Your point man for this mission will be Special Agent Tanya.
Special Agent Tanya Adams: General, I hope that our commander is up to speed, because we have no time to waste.
Gen. Ben Carville: I'm sure she has every confidence in you commander.
Special Agent Tanya Adams: Oh you're sure. Well, it's not your life that's on the line out here.
Gen. Ben Carville: [laughs slightly] She's the best there is. But, you will get along better with the Soviets. You'll get started immediately. First stop, New York. The lieutenant will give you the details.
Lt. Eva Lee: Not long ago, the soviets have an amphibious landing on Manhattan island and their using their ground troops to systematically take over the city. Fortunately, we still have a hold on Fort Bradley, but our comlink has been severed. If you can get agent Tanya into Bradley, she'll re-establish the link.
Special Agent Tanya Adams: Commander, there are four dreadnoughts in the water near Liberty Island: if we do not take care of them, they will just wipe out Fort Bradley the moment the comlink comes back online.
Lt. Eva Lee: [disbelieving] And you think you can take them out on your own, Agent Tanya?.
Special Agent Tanya Adams: [laughs] Not on my own, but close to it, sugar. Commander, get me a hovercraft transport and explosives enough to breach the hulls of those ships. I can handle the rest, you prepare your troops to retake the city...
